President – Sabrina Kamran

kamranSabrina is in the department of Pharmacology and has received a Bachelors Degree in Biology from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. Sabrina’s research involved using yeast and mammalian cell models to discover new targets for treating cancer. She is interested in commercialization of research and technologies. She has been involved with SEBA for three years, previously serving as the Career Fair Coordinator in addition to her 2nd year serving as President. In addition, Sabrina serves as the co-chair for Bioscience Careers and is currently an intern for ecosVC.

VP Of Finance – Brian Webster

imageBrian is a junior in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering with a minor in Spanish. Brian also has interests in mechanical engineering as well as real estate, having spent the past summer as a mechanical engineering intern at Electroimpact, Inc. and has been a Research Assistant for Broderick Group Commercial Real Estate for the past year. Outside of school and work, Brian is an avid traveler, hiker, and skier.

VP Of Relations – Caitlin Cramer

SH_photoCaitlin Cramer is a Ph.D Student in the Department of Material Science & Engineering. Her research aims to improve manufacturing processing and materials for printed electronics including solar cells, batteries, and sensors. Caitlin is originally from Troy, MI and received a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Michigan. After graduation, she spent a year as a Process Engineer for Intel Corporation and another year as a Volunteer Coordinator at Children First Academy through AmeriCorps VISTA. Outside of the lab, she is an active member of the UW Women’s Water Polo Club and a board member for Burners Without Borders Seattle.

VP Of Operations – Ryan Washburne

linkedinWith roots in Portland, OR, Ryan is a Sophomore undergraduate pursuing a degree in Informatics with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Ryan is involved with the Lavin Entrepreneurship Program and is currently serving as the Director of Entrepreurial Outreach. Ryan is also involved with TEDxUofW and is an intern for the Community Relations Director of the A.S.U.W. Board of Directors. Outside of UW, Ryan is a member of the Theta Chi fraternity and desires to start his own Internet-of-Things company.

VP Of Membership – Jason Murray

Jason is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics researching therapeutics for heart failure. Originally from Ohio, Jason graduated from the Ohio State University with a double major in Zoology and Japanese and worked as a research assistant at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Outside of the lab, Jason loves cycling, tacos, and taking naps.

Career Fair Coordinator – Miguel Hernandez

Hernandez_MiguelMiguel is an undergraduate student in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Washington. He is part of the Pozzo Research Group where he focuses on engineering the colloidal stability, charge transport, and optical properties of doped P3HT for coating applications. Miguel is originally from Connecticut and moved to Seattle with his wife after four years of active duty service in the Marine Corps where he received an honorable discharge as a sergeant. He is a Boeing EAHI intern, president of the University of Washington’s AIChE chapter, and always interested in tying his learning and leadership experience to industry.

Career Fair Coordinator – Ashraf Faraj

Ashraf Faraj is an undergraduate chemical engineering student at the University of Washington. He has held a number of leadership positions throughout his career including co-founder and business owner of an online media store. He is passionate about getting more students involved in education, so he served as a liaison between several community colleges and the state government in an effort to minimize community college tuition and increase resource availability. Ashraf has also played critical roles in multiple extracurricular engineering projects throughout his collegiate career such as construct a 3D printer and pursue funding for Chem-E-Car. Ashraf recently worked with Nalco Water for 6 months as a technical sales intern and really enjoyed the learning experience in the water treatment industry. In his free time, Ashraf likes to hike, lift weights, and play basketball.
